Where the Owner of Beckley Boutique Buys Wine and Gifts ?

Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.Melissa Richardson Akkaway is the owner of Beckley Boutique, a shop in West Hollywood that houses both emerging designers and vintage pieces as well as recognizable names like J. Brand and DANNIJO.

Akkaway's boutique also offers a long list of what she calls "gourmet" client services such as personal shoppers, celebrity stylists, tailors, a relaxation area and an intimate garden. Whenever she needs a gift (or a great bottle of wine), she heads to Venokado, a genius store on Fountain Avenue that offers both.My favorite LA spot is a gem called Venokado. The location that I frequent the most is on Fountain Avenue in West Hollywood; they recently opened a second outpost on the west side in Santa Monica Place. This is my go-to for thank you gifts, birthday gifts, children's gifts and holiday gifts for friends and family.

The selection is a well-curated mix of amazing boutique wines, books, candles, children's books/gifts, wine glasses, decanters and small yummy treats from local LA bakeries (amongst a plethora of other items). They are always available to answer my emails and send out my last-minute gifts. I also adore the owners, two sisters, Susan and Molly. I cannot say enough about this amazing little store.
