On last Saturday's tour, we visited some newer kids on the block as well as some tried-and-true 9th Street oldtimers, including Pat's King of Steaks, Talluto's Pasta, Isgro's Pastries, Fante's Kitchen Wares, Anthony's Coffee House, DiBruno Bros., San Roman Tortilleria, Slice Pizzeria, and Bitar's. We ate everything from gelato and cannoli to steak sandwiches "wit," pita and hummus, and tortillas and salsa. I couldn't be rude and not sample, could I? And Chef Jacquie, adhering closely to her Italian traditions, wouldn't allow a single person in our tour group to leave without feeling stuffed.
