It's never too soon to teach kids how important it is to write a thank you note to everyone who gives them a gift!  They will love sending these!Everything isn't for the kids either!  She has some wonderful flat and fold-over notes for adults that are wonderful to use yourself and to give as a special gift!  Here's how my cat woke me up this morning: she pooped on the floor, making a pile about the size of the Mayan pyramid at Chichen Itza in Mexico, then she released what Tom and I have come to know as the "pre-barf meow."Credit where it's due, it was Tom who discovered the existence of the PBM. Once he pointed it out to me, it was so distinctive as to be obvious. I can even describe it so you could recognize it.

Chamber says thank you for your support.Usually the cat says, "Meow." In the case of my particular fucking cat, it's, "Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow," for she is a bothersome coont.I stitched up a couple of thank you gifts and have been waiting for them to arrive before I could show them as they were surprises for both recipients.I admired a Carriage House Samplings finish on Suzanne's blog last year and saw that it was from an issue of JCS so I asked which one. Suzanne kindly offered to send me the magazine. Again it's taken me a while but I stitched up a little something for her and she loves it :)

Chamber says thank you for your support

And this is my humble attempt to thank the folks who made Peace River Folk Festival III and our second re-enactment of Battle of Bowlegs Creek such an outstanding success. From Friday through Sunday, Civil War re-enactors under the leadership of David Hackel, as well as "sutlers" (vendors) organized by Terri Davies, took visitors back to the 1860s.

Volunteers from the Company K, 28th Georgia Infantry, along with 3rd Florida, Company B; 8th Florida, Company C; 15th Alabama, Company B; and the SVB Medical Corp choreographed the stunning re-enactment of Polk County's only Civil War skirmish -- the April 7, 1864, Battle of Bowlegs Creek, also known as the Forgotten Battle -- when the Union's 2nd Florida cavalry fought Fort Meade cattle owners to halt the beef supply going to Confederate forces.

The re-enactment took place only a couple of miles from the actual skirmish site at Bowlegs Creek off Mt. Pisgah Road and was only a stone's throw from Peace River which was the topographical guide to attack and burn Fort Meade's Old Town.On that Saturday, the third annual Peace River Folk Festival celebrating Central Florida's heritage was filled with entertainment, good food and choice crafts.

Thank you gifts for your host

While this is not always necessary there are some instances where bringing along a little gift or sending a little card after the event can put a smile on their face and show that you appreciate what they have done. Choose from a wide range of excellent thank you gifts that are appropriate for the situation.

One of the most common thank you gifts is a bottle of nice wine. This is great for all occasions from dinner parties to birthday parties and everything in between. The good thing about bringing along a bottle of wine to a party is that in many instances the host will share the present around at the party. If not, however, then she has something to enjoy on another day or after the party has wrapped and she has finished all the cleaning.

Another common present to bring for your host is a box of chocolates. Again, this is a great way to say thank you in advance as often the chocolates will be left out for the guests to enjoy at the party. You don't have to do much in terms of wrapping. Adding a simple red bow and a small card to the parcel or placing the bottle of wine in a simple yet elegant wine bag will do the trick if you are choosing either of these popular thank you gifts.
